Iceland is a small Nordic island nation located in the North Atlantic Ocean, south of the Arctic Circle. It has a population of about 320.000 and a total area of 103.000 square kilometres making it the most sparsely populated country in Europe. Eleven percent of the country is covered in glacial ice and surrounded by water. Its capital and largest city is Reykjavik, it is the safest and the cleanest city in the world.
