Canada - Dog breeds list

Canada is a North American country consisting of ten provinces and three territories. Located in the northern part of the continent, it extends from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific and northward into the Arctic Ocean. Canada is the world’s second largest country by total area, and its common border with the United States is the world’s longest land border shared by the same two countries. Canada is a developed country, with the ninth highest per capita income globally, and the 11th highest Human Development Index rating. It ranks among the highest in international measurements of education, government transparency, civil liberties, quality of life and economic freedom.

There are two dog breeds of Canadian origin, two amazing water dogs, the Nova-Scotia Duck-Tolling Retriever and the Terra Nova. The first breed was primarily used for duck hunting, more specifically to retrieve them from the water or from land. The second breed is impressive not only through its size and appearance, but also through its skills. This gentle giant was and is still being used to guard homes, children and believe it or not as a lifeguard. If this doesn’t impress you, nothing will.
